Visual journals are a way for me to "work things out" on paper. Instead of writing in a journal, I allow my emotions to pour out through mark making. I began visual journaling during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, finding it to be a form of art therapy that eased my tired and worrisome mind.
This practice has become a significant part of my routine, with most days starting with work in these journals. Over time, it has grown into a substantial body of work, comprising over 35 journals and continuing to expand. Visual journaling remains a vital outlet for my creativity and emotional expression.
